Concrete grinding?

Rent a concrete saw and cut the section that is bad and remove it. If it is on an outside edge form up the edge and pour new. Patching in my experience doesn't seem to work well. Not sure about using Quikrete we always have the local concrete company come pour ours then we finish it.
