Iphone or ipod touch?

i've been wanting either one but i'm not sure which one to get. i'm only 13 and i don't have that much money so it needs to be affordable. i was thinking i could just get the ipod touch cuz iphone might be not in my age range. only like 4 people in my grade have an iphone and their parents are major rich which is why they have one. i think i should get an ipod touch because i already have a phone and i could wait a little bit and get a better phone. i don't mind carrying a phone and ipod seperately.. advice/opinions on thiss. thanks!
