My 8 month old cat bites my 8 week old kitten?

I would say that the older one feels like he has competition when the younger one is around so then stands his ground but isn't threatened. so to stand his ground he give the odd bite just to make sure the younger one knows who is boss and it may stop or it may not. My cats have been fighting near enough every day since they were 3 and they are 9 now. I hope it stops and good luck
