I had a sore throat one day with a stuffy nose and thick green phlegm. I went to the doctor and I had a small case of strep throat. She put me on Keflex for 10 days. After the 10 days my sore throat came back along with my stuffiness. I have had a sore throat for like 3 weeks and I am so sick of it! I don't know what to do. HELP! I noticed when I spend time outside-mowing, playing with my kids, whatever-my sore throat gets worse. DON'T tell me I have allergies and to get over it-I'm serious. I'm really depressed about graduate school?

I'm barely a few months into it but I feel I don't belong. I feel subtly ostracized by all my fellow students and staff. People,especially women, don't smile at me any more and I don't understand why. Even my supervisor doesn't seem to like me any more. I think it may be because my research is going so slowly and that in turn is because I don't feel motivated at all. It's a vicious cycle. Black spot along side of my stitches.?

I had a vasectomy on Friday morning, it is now Sunday, and I just noticed this when I took a shower today. I have an incision on my right "side", its about a half an inch long with 3 stitches. Between two of the stitches, some the tissue is puffed up from the swelling, the rest of the skin around the incisions are the same, puffed up, but this one little section is black. I'm not sure if its just blood that's pooled up or bruising. I can touch it, it seems hard, but not painful to the touch. I've been using ice off and on up until last night, half an hour on hour off, then off during the night when I sleep. Since its Sunday the offices are closed until tomorrow. Just figured I'd ask to get an idea of what this could be so I don't sound too much of a panic when I call the doctor tomorrow about it if its still there or grows. Thanks

Suggestions for pain relief please?

Hit by drunk driver 20 years ago resulting in wedge fracture of neck, two prolapsed discs and now arthritis in neck and back. Also one prolapsed disc in lower back and fibromyalgia. My doctor has advised staying off the pain killers I've been taking for many years and I agree as they don't work any more they're more of a crutch. Had Physio including traction which was great while on the machine but when everything settled back into place the pain returned. Had Accupuncture, that didn't work. Practice the exercises from Physio daily and try to keep mobile and build muscles around back and neck with walking. The pain is increasing at an alarming rate and my hands are cramping making me drop things, also my left arm often feels cold and weak although is warm to the touch. My doctor is at a loss to sugest anything else and I am getting realy down because of the constant pain and the restrictions it causes. Anyone have any sugestions for exercises or relaxation techniques?

I was driving to work one morning (6am) when I noticed a Dodge Charger starting to follow me as I was getting on the freeway. I changed lanes to see if it would do the same, and it did. Starting in the left lane, of three, I crossed into the far right lane, sped up ping a few cars, and then switched back to the left lane. It worked. The Charger was stuck a car behind me. I'm a thinker. and a worrier. I've been in a relationship for 6 months and we practically live together most of the time. I guess im pretty needy in a self destructive way. Lower back pains for days after any exercise involving torso?

I'm 14 years old and keep getting back pains for a few days after I exercise any muscle in my torso or arms, even with a very low weight or low repetitions. The pain soon goes away after a couple of days and i'm back to my normal self. My back usually hurts whenever i try to flex it or lie flat. Ok, so I have posted several questions in regards to my credit card debt and am still very unsure of what direction to take...I have about $30,000 in CC debt with two companies..Citi & Chase...recently Bank of America closed my $11,000 and $5,500 credit lines that I had..their reason was due to being maxed out on my other CC's, although I have never been late on a single payment for ANY of my debts including mortgage and car payments . It seems that I am being seen as the problem person at work?

The sad things is that I saw it coming but I didn't know what to do to stop it. There is a certain type of girl (and I am physical girl) who just exudes femininity and become really imitated/nervous. I find it very hard to talk to these type of girls. (At one point I was afraid that if i got to close that I wouldn't be seen as a girl- major tomboy). I tend to withdraw from these girls. That's what I've been doing at work until I could find the right way to work with her. Leave out the pleco, or get one that only gets 3 inches at most. Neon tetras are schooling fish and need to be kept in groups of 6 or more. Bettas can live with other fish but i would not recommend guppies. it really depends on the betta but a lot will attack guppies. If i were you i would get 1 betta and 6 tetras and leave it at that. Common plecos get 2 feet long and should not by any means be kept in a 10 gallon tank.

My new apartment is on the 1st floor, so I can hear footsteps, conversations, and annoying squeaky floors from above. My son is going to a college in our home state that has given him his financial aid package and we accepted it. It consists of scholarship, pell grant, grant from actual college and both subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans. It totalled $14,050. That is the school's estimate of tuition, including dorm and meal ticket. Their web site also now says the real cost is supposedly actually only $12,900. They do the package to be sure he has enough to attend. So, what happens to that extra $. Can he use it on campus for expenses, such as supplies? Or does the aid office take it back and put it on the Stafford, or what? This is my oldest and first experience with college, etc. We have had so many questions!

We have two baby guinea pigs, and you basically care for them like adults. Make sure they have a nice big cage. If you're going to put them in with another, do it while they're both babies so they won't fight. Personally, I don't think Disney is fully to blame. Yes I do think they over worked these actors a lot but I also think that not having a normal childhood is to blame. Well I've had quite a rocky year...I've dealt with major depression (still do) and fixed that with "self-meditating". I've gotten caught with marijuana in april, that was in my shed from LAST october. (I quit smoking in february) And they were bowls. That resulted in consent (step before full probation). Like I said I've been clean since february, but about 3 weeks ago I messed up. I was having a very horrible day, and had that attitude "there's nothing to live for". I got drunk at my ex boyfriends, and ped out there. A couple hours later there were cops trying to wake me up. They made me open my purse, and I had a bottle of pills that contained methadone and seroquel. I was planning on taking them that night, but since I drank I forgot about it. I'm ashamed I even had those on me, because I was doing so well and improving my life. Now I got something in the mail saying if I'm found guilty I get up to 4 years in prison. (For possession of narcotics/cocaine less than 25 grams) - so it says. I realize this is very serious, and I am only 16 years old. But this is what I'm trying to get at: everyone is telling me to plead "not guilty" and it's so frustrating! I don't know much about the legal system but how the hell am I supposed to plead not guilty when I know I am? "Oh the pills just fell from the sky into my purse!" Isn't telling the truth the right thing to do? Well at least I thought so, but in this case apparently not. I might plead not guilty, but I don't know what I'm suppose to say to defend myself? I can't make up a story...that's just wrong. What do people usually do in these cases? I know what I did was completely unethical, and very ignorant. I messed up once and got caught doing it. Is there something wrong with the brakes on my 2006 Dodge Stratus?

I just bought a 2006 dodge stratus a few weeks ago I think it's really cute and has a nice interior. However there is one thing that is bothering me--the brakes seem to pulsate and jerk a little bit when I stop, as if they have air between them. This is the first American, automatic car I've had, I've only owned Hondas and they were both sticks so I'm hoping it's just because I'm not used to driving it or I'm not braking properly. At first the car was shaking really badly so I had them resurface the rotors and it improved a lot, but I still feel like the brakes are slightly jerky, although they are new. I had 3 people test drive it and my mechanic didn't see anything wrong after the rotors were resurfaced. Am I overexaggerating or is there something else I can do to stop the jerking to make braking more comfortable? Any advice would be helpful.

Why does my beryl now have 4 separate cubes (one for each workspace)?

When I used to use CTRL+ALT+direction it would flip to the next workspace in ubuntu. I must have changed a setting somewhere because I can still flip, but it just flips between workspaces that have nothing in them and the original work space I actually have a program in. In order to get to a real other work space, I have to clip on the workspace. Admittedly, I haven't really done any research on this, other than to look through the beryl manager. I don't smoke, slightly overweight, good blood pressure (110/70). in the past week I have been having chest pain mainly in the upper center towards the left. sometimes feel out of breath or laboured breathing. Pain is relieved by rest and paracetomol. sometimes I get the pain when I am sitting or lying down but a shift in positon usually relieves the pain. have been to the hospital 3 times but was sent home because I they though I was at not risk of having a heart attack. had 3 ecg done. first was normal. 2nd showed widespread t wave inversion and the 3rd showed t wave inversion in lead 111. Had cardiac bloods done which showed I am little risk of having heart disease. getting lipids and diabetis done in the next couple of days and I will be seeing a cardiologist in a couple of weeks.
